If your grindstone has become uneven, it is easily fixed with the Tormek Diamond Truing and Dressing Tool TT-50. It will make your stone perfectly round and flat again.

Redesigned version 2019

This new design is made in cast zinc, which minimises the play and improves the precision and quality of the tool.

Easy feeding across the stone

You conveniently feed the diamond cutter across the stone by alternately turning the two knobs with both your hands. Thanks to the controlled feed, you get an even and flat stone surface with no ridges.

Controlled cutting depth

The cutting depth is set exactly by the Micro Adjust on the Universal Support. The scale has increments for each 0,25 mm or 0,01". Watch the video for a demonstration on how it works.

Create a coarse or fine surface

With a higher feed speed across the stone (approximately 30 seconds instead of 90 seconds) the surface will have pronounced grooves, which will cause the stone to grind faster. This is beneficial, when sharpening or shaping tools in hard steel with a large bevel area, e.g. turning skew chisels and electric jointer/planer blades.

The slower you feed, the finer the surface you will achieve. A traverse time of 90 seconds across the stone gives you a good finish with hardly any visible grooves.

For earlier Tormek models

If you have an older machine, which has no Micro Adjust on the Universal Support, you can update your machine with the new Universal Support US-105 or US-103 for the 200 mm stone models.
