Brandt & Cochran have launched a new axe! They honor the Acadians, those hearty French Canadians, who tamed the north woods of Maine and Eastern Canada, with the new half wedge axe.  Coming in at 2.75 lbs. and hung on a 30" Amish-turned hickory handle, it is a little beefier than our Allagash Cruiser so go ahead and tackle those bigger projects.

The difference from the Maine wedge pattern Allagash Cruiser can be seen in its thicker poll putting more power when splitting or chopping. 

In a nod to the Maine axe makers of the past, (and different than the stamp on the other axes) the acadian is stamped "Brant & Cochran S. Portland, ME" on the head.

Comes with a Maine-made leather sheath.
