Robert Sorbyhas been producing woodworking hand tools for over 200 years. They first produced handsaws back in the early 1900’s under the Kangaroo brand, and in 2023 have reintroduce them.
The line currently includes three traditional saws: 22” Panel Saw, 12” Tenon Saw and the 8” Dovetail Saw.
The Panel Saw is taper ground and has 10tpi. Universal teeth for general use, cutting across the grain to give a finer finish than larger toothed handsaws.
The Tenon saw is designed for cutting smaller tenons in furnniture and cabinetry. These saws can be used on hard and soft woods. The 13tpi allows you to have more control over the depth and direction of the cut you are making.
The Dovetail saw has a thinner blade with many small teeth. It is designed for small, very precise cuts, typically in joint making including dovetail and small tenon joints.
