This special little folding saw offers two locking positions. Use the first position for most cutting jobs. The rubber, pistol grip handle is easy to grasp especially on the pull-stroke when greater cutting force is needed. On occasion, the second position proves invaluable in confined or unusual situations. We have used this saw extensively on the job site - you can cut a board even if it is already nailed down to the floor!

Japanese saws cut on the pull-stroke, as opposed to the traditional push-stroke cut of most western-style saws. A pull-stroke cut is actually more efficient because there is no tendency for the blade to buckle and bind in the kerf. These saws take a little getting used to, but once you have adapted your cutting style, you will be able to cut faster, straighter and with less effort than ever before!
