This little tools small but mighty. The edge on the hoe is slightly sharpened and so it scrapes and cuts soil beautifully.
The handle is Japanese White Oak and the head is high carbon steel with a fine cutting edge. The blade has a tang that goes up into the handle and is fastened securely with a pin and steel collar. The blade can be sharpened if you nick a rock. It will rust if left out in the rain so be sure to clean and dry it after use. I like to spray all of my gardening tools with
Camelia Oil after use because it keeps them from rusting and is a non-toxic and edible oil.
