George Ellis' Mondern Practical Joinery is perhaps one of the best books ever published on the subject. The first edition was published in 1902 and expanded and enlarged in 1908 to its present form from which this reprint is taken. Beyond question is the authority of the author and depth of his coverage. The scope of detailed work practices is enormous. There are 27 chapters and nearly 600 pages, fully illustrated with clear line drawings and diagrams, and 31 photographs some of which show the woodworking machines of the day.
